FRS Recruitment, one of Ireland’s leading recruitment companies, is partnering with renowned broadcaster Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh on a campaign aimed at bringing at taste of ‘home’ to the Irish community living abroad.
The campaign, which began during the National Hurling & Football leagues, is entitled #70MinsofHome, will be broadcast on GAAGO – RTÉ and the GAA’s online service for streaming live Gaelic Games matches outside of Ireland.
Short videos featuring the voice of Mr. Ó Muircheartaigh speaking about what home means to him playing over evocative imagery from Ireland, will run before games and at halftime during matches streamed via the GAAGO service. The campaign will also run on social media.
The campaign aims to remind the Irish community living abroad of all that ‘home’ has to offer, subtly encouraging any members of the Irish diaspora who may be considering a move back to Ireland to explore the extensive job opportunities available in this country.

This will be the third year of FRS Recruitment’s multiyear sponsorship with GAAGO. FRS Recruitment has leveraged the partnership to further their success in bringing Irish people living abroad back to Ireland. The aim is to use this pool of talent to fill positions where it can be challenging to attract sufficiently qualified candidates from the local market.
FRS Recruitment is also behind the widely covered ‘free flights home’ initiative, whereby they will pay for the flight home of any candidate living abroad who they place in a new role. CLICK HERE to read more about this initiative.
Speaking about the campaign, Lynne McCormack, General Manager of FRS Recruitment said, “We are so honoured to be working with Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh on this campaign. There are few voices more synonymous with GAA than Mícheál. We couldn’t have hoped to secure a more fitting partner to tell us about ‘home’ in an Irish context. When he speaks it immediately captures the attention of anyone who loves GAA. Mícheál’s is a voice that pulls you in – you can’t help but be interested in what he has to say. Not only is his voice iconic, we have no doubt it will reverberate with the Irish community all around the world, which is perfect for what we are hoping to achieve with this campaign.
“In recent years FRS Recruitment has strived to showcase the appeal of home to the Irish community living abroad. We have been able to successfully build on the natural interest some have in returning to Ireland to entice qualified candidates to apply for roles located back in this country. This has proven to be beneficial to candidates and clients alike, especially for hard to fill positions where there may be a shortages of locally based candidates available.
“We have been to leverage the enhanced profile provided through our sponsorship of GAAGO to capture even wider attention amongst the Irish diaspora and we are delighted to once again be partnering with the GAA and RTÉ for the 2022 season,” Ms. McCormack concluded.
